Oscar Nominations

Academy voters have until this Saturday, January 12 to cast their nominating votes, with the nominations being announced the morning of January 22nd. For what its worth here are who I think SHOULD (not will) be nominated for the main categories:

a nice list. i'd be tempted to place keri russell in the mix for best actress for waitress. i'd also give atonement a couple nods (picture instead of once) and vanessa redgrave for best supporting (although that is a very strong category, i must admit). this is a tough year. so many good movies and performances stand out. jeff daniels also had a nice supporting turn in the lookout.

DGA noms today: PT and Coens look solid. Hope Fincher can squeeze in the Oscar noms.
