You need to check out the hoax (i can't find a release date for the dvd), do so. it's my number one of the year so far. not great, but pretty good. saw waitress friday night. i really enjoyed it, although i felt like it ultimately didn't answer all the questions it raised. because the doctor had a good wife, he was wrong to cheat on her? i liked how the husband, while a complete jerk, had some complexity to his character and was not the stock "abusive hellish husband". the narrative device of describing new pies (and showing their ingredients), was surprisingly affecting and fun and really tied the film together. it's a shame we'll never know what else adrienne shelley had to say. i'm a fan of nathan fillion (the doctor) from Josh Whedon's Serenity (both the show and film), but felt like he increasingly was confused how to play the part as the film progressed.
