Emmy Awards

The Emmy Awards were tonight? Temple Grandin swept the TV movie part. Mad Men won its third straight best drama series. Modern Family and Glee won most of the comedy awards. Haven't seen either. Al Pacino won for his terrific performance as Jack Kevorkian. Jimmy Fallon hosted. The full list is after the jump.

Al's speech was weird. Glad to see Temple Grandin get the accolades and attention it deserves. It is available on DVD now for those interested.

You Don't Know Jack is easily Barry Levinson's best film since Wag the Dog and Pacino was great in it. But there wasn't a lot of hope in it like Temple Grandin. Everyone should seek out Temple Grandin on DVD. I still can't believe the film (wisely) chose to present facts and not politicize meat vs. vegetables. Terrific performances and very moving, especially if you're a parent.
