The North Korea quip is a specious one. The celestial body allows His/Her subjects to do whatever they choose. No one is ordered to be well, just given the opportunity. No doubt Hitchens's cancer is affecting his thought process (reducing it to sick/well, disease/cure) since he used to be more logical than this.
