Nice. They pay homage to that scene in The Hangover. Saw Pelham tonight. Strong B+ - best popcorn movie I've seen in a long time and travolta's goatee didn't ruin it.
Hangover is on the card for tomorrow.
I haven't been able to squeeze anything in lately. I've been working as much as I possibly can before Obama starts to tell me how to practice medicine.
Something strange is in the air if I picked up that shot independently- maybe I got the vibe from the Hangover trailer. Weird. They copied the shot exactly in the film, except from screen left to right.
B+ for The Hangover, getting points for originality and hilarity. The Rain Man thing didn't work and Phillips had the tone of the film all over the place (especially when they get back to LA). Galifianakis was hit or miss (about 50-50). But like you said, Helms and Cooper were perfect.
