Whatever Works Trailer. Larry David stars in Woody Allen's newest film. Looks great, but not so sure about that May (or February)- December romance. Bonus note - Scorsese will be directing a biopic entitled Sinatra.

I like David's speech at the end and surely David is the best Woody substitute ever in one of Allen's films (Branagh in Celebrity, Jason Biggs in Anything Goes), but I don't think anyone knows crazy evangelical Christians like that, let alone 2.
Agree that the characterization of the Christians was too much - it turns me off and I can't decide if such caricatures are just satire that hits too close or if it is so off that it is tone deaf to what would be funny about evangelicals. I suspect its the latter - he should've written in multiple religions to spread the pain and make the broader point.
BTW, the guy sitting next to David at the bar when he calls God an interior decorator is the priest in Synecdoche, NY (also the narrator in Vicky Cristina Barcelona).
