Song of the Day - Forever Young, Jay-Z and Mr. Hudson
Another great JayZ song, good grief. This is a remake of the Alphaville classic (featured in the Napoleon Dynamite dance scene).
When I heard Betty White say "Mr." Hudson, I thought GMAFB. Then when the song started I realized that rap music is nothing but saying "Yeah" and "Uh-huh" on the upbeats of any random song that's playing on the radio. Maybe one day, every song will have been updated (ruined) by the hip hop machine and actual, real, live musicians will begin actually writing songs again. Playing instruments, developing choruses and vocal lines, meaningful lyrics that aren't vulgar, violent, or misogynistic. Stuff like that. It's not too much to ask for, is it?
