So, you're recommending buying a Blu-Ray player?
Um, HiDef TV is pretty good, but usually in 1.85 which is OK unless the film is in 2.35. Jaws is butchered on HiDef TV, so a Blu-ray buy is warranted. But Blu-ray discs just look much better than even HiDef TV. I just ordered Blu-Ray Revolutionary Road and The Wrestler today, but I am having trouble replacing the DVD collection (unless it's Kubrick, Godfather, Fargo, Miami Vice, Die Hard, etc.) New buys (like Up, Public Enemies, Inglourious Basterds are no-brainer Blu-rays). I haven't optimized my sound system yet, but I've heard that's better, too. You should check it out next time you're in town. "Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs."
