thanks for the link. excellent. i almost like to hear tarantino talking about film more than watching one of his.
PTA flew past him in 1997 and never looked back. I prefer Boogie Nights too and feel like the imbalance of adversaries in TWBB is too much. At least DDL rightfully wins in TWBB (in contrast to GONY) and is only done in by abundance and insanity.

You could argue that QT and PTA have equal talent, but PTA was guided by a showbiz father with access to insiders and money. While QT had numerous father figures, no money, and was allowed to revel in 70s crap-trash culture.
