Oasis Breaks Up
A day late with this. Liam and Noel Gallagher got in a fistfight backstage in Paris and cancelled the show 1 minute before their set - Noel has left the band. For all the details, go here. For some old DLP Oasis love, go here.
Those fellas at Pitchfork on Priest's top 500 songs of the Aughts post have other lists including best albums of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. No Born to Run, Achtung Baby, Out of Time, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Pearl Jam (Vs. and Vitalogy from where I sit), Tom Petty (Damn the Torpedoes or Full Moon Fever for starters) out of 100 per decade. And that's just off the top of my head. Arbitrary to say the least.
It would be good to see more of these best of 00s music posts in the coming months, since I basically checked out after OK Computer.
As for Oasis, well don't they break up and get back together all the time - when their accountants tell them it's time for another tour?
